The "Manhattanhenge'!

A gift from the universe!

Don’t let this bad weather keep you down, because something luminous is coming your way this weekend …

This Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 in New York, get ready to witness a natural wonder, the Manhattanhenge.

(Hope you have enough storage in your phone because you’re going to want to take pictures!!!)

The 'Manhattanhenge' a.k.a the Manhattan solstice is an organic phenomenon that occurs twice a year when the sunset perfectly aligns with the east-west streets on the main street grid in downtown Manhattan.

Apparently the best place to watch this event is on 14th street, 23rd street, 34th street and 42nd street.

So, if you are already heading to New York this weekend note this correctly: On Friday at 8:21 pm it’ll be a full sun on the grid, and on Saturday July 13 at 8:20 pm it’ll be a half-sun on the grid!

Oh! You are not coming with us…. That’s ok, this magical gift bestowed upon us from the universe happens twice a year so you can catch the next one!
