Yeah New York has the Empire State Building, the Times Square ball drop on New Year’s Eve but there’s much more to the city that never sleeps during the holiday season.

Another Christmas market is opening this week, which means you’ll have even more gifts to buy and shops to discover. Union Square’s holiday market will be a tad different from the one in Grand Central Station. There, you will find unique gifts created by local craftsmen and artists. This year, the market even got updated to offer new sections like Little Brooklyn, a warming station and Lounge, a kid’s arts studio and live music. There are activities for everyone’s taste, whether you love Christmas shopping, or you prefer to chill with a nice cup of hot chocolate.

On top of that, New York Is famous for its extravagant window displays on 5th Avenue. This week, Macy’s, Saks and Tiffany are unveiling what they did this year and it promises to be wonderful. You can enjoy these displays as you walk by them on a stroll on 5th Avenue or take more time to admire the details and stories they have to tell.
